Like most people I was not familiar with Dali's background. Picasso's "Guernica," on the other hand, is very moving and a must-see when you visit Madrid.

Absolutely! The terror of the horse in Picasso's Guernica when you see it in person tears at your soul. People are just trying to shop at a market and hell is unleashed by fascists. The story of Guernica, both the town and the painting should be taught in all schools. (Thanks for reading!)

Thank you for giving us the political background of Dali. I like to know who the cowards who sold out are.

Thank you for sharing your adventures and history of the area! I love the electric box cover art and especially like the "cat sitting on the window sill" one. I appreciated your "heads up" re: your best meal in many decades. Thankfully, I closed one eye while scanning your meal review and really only read that Pam enjoyed her delicious grilled cod meal. Seriously, I'm happy to hear both thoroughly enjoyed your "mah-velous" meals.

Thanks for keeping that one eye closed. I will never speak of it again in your company.
