Given that Alberto is a rock climber, I he can also tell me best time of year for bouldering in the Albarracin (southwest side of Zaragoza)? Is early June too late/too hot? School schedules cause all sorts of planning issues!
Alberto is originally from Zaragoza so he would know all about it. We were just in the flat part of Huesca yesterday, not too far north of Zaragoza and the high was 90F. We did a big up hike and didn't die, and your kids are tougher than we are.
I have done one and only one in Quebec. It was terrifying and exhilarating. The guide and knowing I was always tethered was key. If Alberto knows some tame beginner ones I just might do it!
Uh oh! You’ve done it so now I must do it as promised. Alberto has worked a ton with blind people and they are all tethered. If you go, I’ll go along to provide translation services! 🤞
AMAZING! I want this 10 stars out of 5 experience with those views and wildflowers and personal guide! All the details when you get back on this one please. And thank you for the wildflower pictures! I am so curious: Is the rose daphne fragrant? I want it to have as lovely a smell as daphne odora and perfume the mountainside but I’m guessing you would have mentioned if it had. At any rate, I think daphne are poisonous to humans and some can cause skin irritation. There’s probably a Greek story about that. LOL! What a perfect day!
Please visit and I give you all my words Alberto will give you the same Devine experience. That's a great question about the smell. I never smelt anything from the flowers. We have smelled some flowers, but we suspect they are invasive. Funny you mention the poisonous side. Alberto showed us a nonflowering native plant that will kill you, but didn't mention anything about the rose daphne. On your trip here, you can ask him! 🤗
Also: Will you dare a via ferrata with Alberto??
Alberto is a major rock climber so he'd do it. However, I will only do one if you are right behind him. Are you up for the challenge?
